Our Story

KJH Enterprises began in 2000, when Ken and Jill Horkan opened their first Culver’s restaurant in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

What started as a family dream—built on genuine care for people, a love of hospitality, and a deep connection to the community—has grown into an organization operating five restaurants across Wisconsin, supported by a team of dedicated operating partners.

From the very beginning, KJH Enterprises has been about people first. It’s about creating a place where guests feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated, and where team members are supported, respected, and given the opportunity to grow.

Every interaction—whether with a guest, a teammate, or a partner—is guided by a simple belief: when you take care of people, everything else follows.

This people-first approach shapes how we lead, how we serve, and how we make decisions. It shows up in the way we listen, the way we support one another, and the way we stay committed to doing what’s right—even when it’s not the easiest path.

Today, the second generation—Kenny, Jessica, and Jordan—carry on the Horkan legacy with the same focus that started it all: putting people at the center of everything we do, and building a business where relationships matter just as much as results.

Ken and Jill Horkan smile warmly, showcasing their welcoming approach to business consulting.
